Soccer goal size

The goal size must be 24 feet (7.31 m) in width and 8 feet (2.44 m) in height, and be situated directly within the goal box lines, with the goal box itself behind the goal line at either end of the field of play inside of the penalty area.

The goal posts and crossbar need to be the same width and depth and can not exceed 5 inches (12 cm).

The center mark must be equidistant from the center of each goal.

Soccer net size

A full size soccer net is 24 feet (7.3 m) by 8 feet (2.43 m). The webbing can come in two thicknesses, 0.098 inch (2.5 mm) or 0.137 inch (3.5 mm), the thicker being more durable and long-lasting.

Usually, the soccer net is the same size as the soccer goal itself.

Soccer nets are not obligatory according to FIFA rules. However, if a net is used, it must be securely fastened to the goal posts and ground behind the goal line, and not impede game play in any way, or be a threat to the goalkeeper or the players.

The goal itself must be a construction made up of two upright posts joined by a horizontal crossbar, and must be made of wood, metal or other approved material.

The goalposts and the crossbar must be white, and square, elliptical, round or rectangular in shape, and for obvious reasons pose no threat of damage or harm to the team.

Youth soccer goal dimensions

US youth soccer goals vary in size depending on the age of the player and the area which they have available to them to play the game.

There are a few differences between youth soccer goals and official goals, in that metal pipes between 3 and 4 inches thick are used in place of goal posts, and that ball sizes vary.

Futsal goal dimensions

The size of a futsal goal is regulated by the futsal laws of the game laid down by FIFA.

Futsal goals must consist of two upright posts with a 9.84-foot (3 m) distance between the two.

Measurements are taken from the inside of the posts, and must be situated in the center of the field equidistant from the corner arcs.

All posts must be the same width and depth.

A futsal court does not require corner flags according to FIFA as the game is played on alternative surfaces. (On a court rather than a football field).

Goals must be joined at the top by a horizontal crossbar, which must be raised from the ground to a height of 6.56 feet (2 m) to the inside edge of the crossbar and be situated on the goal lines. The goal size is measured from the inside of the crossbar to the ground.

Indoor soccer goal dimensions

An indoor goal consists of two vertical tubular goalposts and must be 12 to 14 feet apart (3.65 m to 4.26 m), and are joined by a horizontal crossbar 6.5 feet (1.98 m) high, measurements are taken from the inner edge to the field surface.

The goal must adjoin the perimeter walls at the end of the field, and be situated in the center on the goal line.

Both the goalposts and crossbar must be 4 inches in depth.

A net must be secured to the goal posts and extend 5 feet (1.52 m) behind the goalmouth and be supported so that the goalkeeper can move without mobility being hindered in the goal area.

A goal line is drawn between the goalposts defining the boundary of each goal.

Goals are smaller than that of a standard soccer goal sizes.
